I'm Simone, an illustrator and designer from New York. I love creating art that feels a little whimsical and playful, like the warm feeling of a fond memory or a good inside joke.

Being an American half-Filipino, I know what it feels like to be unsure where I fit in, yet knowing that I have a deep love for my Filipino roots and culture I was raised in. I know this experience is not just unique to me, as is common with mixed people, but even more so, among the Filipino communities in the States and all over the world. In broad strokes, we are a diverse and blended group of people—and it is something worth celebrating.

I started Mix-Mix to celebrate that blend, to uplift our experiences, and to highlight the little moments of joy that make being Fil-Am... Fil-Am.
